This Natural Beeswax Wood Conditioner acts as an extra protective layer after oiling your wooden products.
Wood is still a living organism and will therefore continue to react to its environment. When you apply Beeswax conditioner it will seal your Mineral oil in the wood, and protect the board from bacteria and cracking or warping.
How to use your Natural Beeswax Wood Conditioner:
- Step 1 – Melt: To ease application, put the bottle of conditioner in hot water for about 5 minutes before use to get the beeswax to melt. Especially during winter, the Beeswax will solidify and this step will be necessary in order to apply the product.
- Step 2 – Wax on: Using a soft, lint free cloth or soft paper towel, rub the beeswax conditioner into your clean or untreated wood. Going with the direction of the grain.
- Step 3 – Leave on: Allow the beeswax to sit on the wood for 5 min or until the conditioner is absorbed. (Some have suggested to leave the wax on until the next use.)
- Step 4 – Wax off: Once the beeswax has soaked into the wood, wipe off any excess and buff it with a soft clean cloth, making sure the finish is smooth.
We suggest that you repeat the above process as regularly as possible to increase the lifetime of the wood. And remember that a little goes a long way!
